How long does a Sure Step service last?

  • A Sure Step service lasts at least one year, and we back that up with a written one-year warranty.

  • If your treated surface loses it’s increased dynamic coefficient of friction (DCOF) within that year, we come back and treat it again at no cost to you.

  • Most treatments last well over one year.

  • High-traffic floors may need to be treated yearly due to normal wear and tear on the floor.

How much does a Sure Step floor service cost?

  • Sure Step is cost-effective and long-lasting, and the cost of a Sure Step service is pennies compared to legal defense fees and insurance considerations.

  • We price our services by the square foot of treated area.

  • The cost per square foot is influenced by several factors, so we provide free no-obligation quotes specific to your floor.

  • A good budget range is $2.00 to $2.50 per square foot of treated floor.

  • Service for a large, wide open floor with floor drains and minimal furniture to move may cost less than the stated price range.

  • Service for small spaces, lack of floor drains, heavy degreasing/prep needed, or lots of furniture to move may cost more than the stated price range.

How much does a Sure Step bathtub or fiberglass shower service cost?

  • A good budget range is $69 to $109 per bathtub or shower, depending upon the overall quantity.

What discounts are available?

  • We make a before & after video of every Sure Step service performed for our own documentation.

  • If you will permit us to use that video on our website, social media, and company materials to show prospective clients the amazing difference a Sure Step service makes, we provide a discount for that. We do all of the work… just need your permission.

  • Similarly, if you will permit us to list you as a customer on our website, social media, and company materials, we also provide a discount for that.

  • Additional discounts may be available for multiple locations, including regional & national clients.

Is it possible to measure the dynamic coefficient of friction (DCOF) of my existing floor?

  • Yes. McVey Non-Slip Solutions has a BOT-3000E tribometer to measure DCOF.

  • We typically offer a free measurement of floor DCOF as part of the sales process for prospective new clients wanting to know their DCOF.

  • For any clients wanting ongoing DCOF measurements, please contact us to discuss.

How long does it take to perform a Sure Step service?

  • Most Sure Step services are completed in a single visit either when your business is closed, or during slow hours.

  • For the majority of our clients, we perform the service while the business is closed and there is no disruption whatsoever to business.

How long do I have to stay off of the treated area after treatment with Sure Step?

  • Your surface is ready to use immediately after we finish treating it with Sure Step… there is no down time.

Is Sure Step safe?

  • Yes. Sure Step is a proven product that has been around for many years.

  • After we finish your service, we neutralize Sure Step, remove it, and thoroughly rinse your floor. No residue is left behind.

  • Your floors are ready to use immediately once we finish your treatment.

  • Safety Data Sheets for Sure Step are available upon request for any clients needing them.

  • Yes. We are proudly BBB accredited with the highest possible rating available to us.

Is McVey Non-Slip Solutions, LLC bonded and insured?

  • Yes. McVey Non-Slip Solutions, LLC is bonded and insured, and we can provide documentation upon request.

Do you offer free samples?

  • Yes. We typically will come to your place of business with a 5-minute hands-on demo so that you can experience Sure Step for yourself.

  • And if you are interested, we will also provide a free sample on your floor.

Do you have a solution for fiberglass showers or fiberglass tubs?

  • Yes. While our Sure Step service works on hard mineral floors, we have a separate Sure Step product made for fiberglass showers and fiberglass tubs. It’s a highly-durable spray-on coating that adds a grip texture.

Do you have a solution for VCT flooring?

  • Yes. We are pleased to offer Sure Shine, which we can supply directly to your floor team to incorporate in their floor care routine.

  • Sure Shine is finished with a burnisher and adds to the slip-resistance of VCT floors.

Does Sure Step require special cleaning or other procedures?

  • No. You can continue treating your floor/surface with your routine cleaning procedures.

  • Please note that grease and cleaning product residue will decrease the effectiveness of your Sure Step service. Proper grease removal and rinsing are required for any floor, with or without a Sure Step service.

  • McVey Non-Slip Solutions, LLC is pleased to offer a detergent-free commercial-grade degreaser for any clients with floors that routinely get greasy (typically restaurant and fast food kitchens).
