How Does Sure Step Non-Slip Work?

  • Dramatically increases the dynamic coefficient of friction (DCOF) of the treated surface when wet.

Accepted Industry Standards for Floor Dynamic Coefficient of Friction (DCOF):

  • The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Standard A137.1 ** requires tile floors to have a minimum DCOF of 0.42 when wet if used in a level interior space intended to be walked upon when wet.

  • Anything less than 0.42 may be considered unsafe and poses a liability to business owners.
